Irish writer, Tom Quinn, was born and grew up in Tullamore, County Offaly.
Since leaving school he has lived mainly in Dublin Ireland, but has also lived in France, Spain, and Italy. He is fluent in French, Spanish, and Italian.
In 1998, he earned a degree in Translation from Dublin City University.
In 2002, he was awarded a Ph.D., also at Dublin City University.
His full-length study of Louis-Ferdinand Céline's “Voyage au bout de la nuit” (“Journey to the End of the Night") was published in December 2005 by Edwin Mellen Press, and launched in April 2006 in the Alliance Française, Kildare Street, Dublin.
Quinn is a writer of poetry, short stories, and novels. His novels have been published by Gent Publishing, and under the Ireland Stories imprint.
His favourite writers are James Joyce, Henry Miller, Louis-Ferdinand Céline, D.H. Lawrence, and Emily Brontë.
As of writing Tom is something of an international nomad.
